Analysis of EGON sensor application in the lithium battery industry

In recent years, driven by the rapid growth of new energy vehicles, the installed capacity of power lithium batteries has exceeded the proportion of lithium battery consumer markets. The focus of demand for lithium batteries is in the development stage of shifting from the small battery market in the consumer battery market to the power battery market for electric vehicles and industrial & energy storage.

 

Power battery is the most critical factor in the development of new energy vehicles, from the customer's point of view, to make electric vehicles can compete with fuel vehicles, the key is to develop highly specific energy, high specific power, the long service life of high-efficiency batteries as a power source. Therefore, higher precision and intelligent detection in the production process of power batteries are particularly important. EGON sensors have a comprehensive sensor solution for this production process, and today we introduce several typical processes for lithium battery production and the application of EGON sensors in this field.

 

Electrode production

 

Application: Power battery liquid injection machine, the liquid injection process is automatically completed, each station is designed with a manual inspection station and adopts non-stop safety process inspection. Safety products are required for channel protection.

Application: The homogeneous coating of the electrodes determines the future battery quality. The measurement accuracy must be in the micrometer range when checking the coating thickness.
